![]() Durham County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents reported that in the course of the search warrant execution in Durham, agents had discovered and seized approximately one pound of marijuana, and 435 grams of cocaine. Robert Wayne Towler age 49, owner of 406 Key Road, Sanford was transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Agents went down into the space and located a large amount of United States currency hidden inside of a green military style ammunition can. Agents removed a panel attached to the floor by screws, which lead to the crawl space area under the residence. Further into the search and investigation lead to the discovery of cut away part of the floor inside the residence. During the course of the search agents located and seized approximately 7.2 pounds of marijuana, and 10 grams of cocaine. The owner Robert Wayne Towler, was detained by agents during the course of the search, and investigation. Agents later located the home owner who walked down the road from family member’s residence. Agents completed a thorough search for occupants and immediately began search the residence for controlled substance. Upon entry agents found the residence was not occupied. ![]() Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics division executed a search warrant on the property located at 406 Key Road, Sanford. Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics division and the Durham County Sheriff’s Office narcotics division ended a joint investigation by executing search warrants simultaneously in both counties, on the same individual.
